China is redrawing the world tourism

China's tourism witnessed a double increase in the last years. On the one hand, the number of Chinese who are going abroad is increasing, and on the other hand, the country must adapt its infrastructure to receive also, an increasing number of visitors, which change the current approach to large specialized touristic service providers.

"The concept of travel – to travel abroad for pleasure and not business interests – has more than ten years in China", says "The Economist", which analyzed the numbers and found since 1997 when Chinese authorities stopped limiting the travel abroad, the numbers have increased considerably. In 2005, for example, more than 31 million Chinese left the country for holiday purposes while in 2010, their number is over 50 million and in 2020, it is estimated to go over 100 million tourists. Hoteliers and those in the public catering sector, retailers of all kinds and travel agencies worldwide can already "rub their hands".
